Irene is a second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Art in Art Therapy at Cedar Crest College. Her approach to art therapy comes from a humanistic lens. She believes in the healing power of art and the creative process.
Her experience includes assisting members of the blind community using sculpture techniques that supported clients’ resilience, autonomy, and feeling of connection to others. Her work in social services gave her insights into family dynamics. Irene’s first year internship involved collaborating with art, movement, and drama therapists to support individuals struggling with eating disorders.
Her goal is to meet her clients where they are and to support them in their healing journey through art and talk therapy. She believes the client is the expert in their experiences and it would be her great honor to work alongside them.
